How to make a complaint or removal request

Please contact Our Influencers using the contact details or complaints form provided on our website.

Your request should include:

  • Your full name and contact details

  • Your relationship to the person featured, if you are contacting us on their behalf

  • A link to or clear description of the relevant content

  • The reason for your complaint or removal request

If you are requesting action on behalf of another adult, we may need their permission before proceeding. Parents or legal guardians may submit requests concerning children in their care.

What happens next

We will aim to acknowledge your complaint within five working days.

We will review the content, the original nomination, any consent provided and all relevant information. We may contact you, the nominator or the person featured if we need further details.

Depending on our findings, we may:

  • Correct or update the content

  • Add clarification or additional context

  • Temporarily hide the content while we investigate

  • Remove the content from our website or social media

  • Contact the relevant platform, sponsor or contributor

  • Take no action where the complaint is not supported by the available evidence

We will aim to provide an outcome within 20 working days. More complex complaints may take longer, but we will keep you informed.

Withdrawing consent

If you have been featured by Our Influencers and no longer wish your content to be used, you may contact us to withdraw your consent.

We will consider the request promptly and remove content where we are legally required or reasonably able to do so. However, we may not be able to remove material that has already appeared in printed publications, independent news coverage or content copied or shared by third parties outside our control.

Removing content from our platforms may not immediately remove it from search-engine results, archived pages, backups or other websites. We will take reasonable steps within our control but cannot guarantee the removal of copies held by third parties.

Urgent concerns

Complaints involving immediate safety, safeguarding, threats, harassment or the exposure of highly sensitive personal information will be treated as a priority.

If someone is in immediate danger, please contact the police or emergency services rather than waiting for a response from Our Influencers.

False or malicious complaints

Complaints and removal requests must be made honestly and in good faith. We will not tolerate requests intended to harass, intimidate or silence another person through knowingly false or malicious claims.

Privacy

Information submitted as part of a complaint will only be used to investigate and respond to the matter, meet our legal responsibilities and maintain appropriate records. It will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our commitment

We will handle complaints fairly, sensitively and without discrimination. Making a complaint will not prevent someone from being considered for future nominations, features, prizes or gifts.
