Sustainability & Inclusion Policy
Last updated: 10 August 2026
At Our Influencers, sustainability means creating a platform that has a positive and lasting impact on people, communities and the world around us.
We celebrate people from all backgrounds and value the different perspectives, identities and life experiences that individuals bring. We believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, fairness and respect.
Our commitment to inclusion
Anyone can be an Influencer. Influence is not determined by someone’s age, appearance, background, occupation, income, ability or number of social-media followers.
We aim to represent and celebrate people from a wide range of communities, including people of different:
Races, ethnicities and nationalities
Ages and generations
Religions and beliefs
Sexes, genders and gender identities
Sexual orientations
Disabilities and health conditions
Neurotypes
Socioeconomic and educational backgrounds
Family and caring circumstances
We recognise that some voices and communities have historically been overlooked or underrepresented. We will work to ensure that Our Influencers provides an inclusive platform where a broad range of people can be seen, heard and celebrated.
Respecting different perspectives
We welcome respectful differences of opinion and recognise that people will not always agree. However, valuing different perspectives does not mean accepting discrimination, harassment, hatred or language that causes harm.
Freedom of expression does not give anyone the right to intimidate, degrade or discriminate against another person.
Zero tolerance for discrimination
Our Influencers will not tolerate discrimination, bullying, harassment, hate speech, victimisation or abusive behaviour based on somebody’s identity, background or personal circumstances.
This applies across:
Our website
Our social-media pages
Our comment sections
Our nomination process
Our interviews, filming and events
Our communications with Influencers, nominators, partners and members of the public
Anyone working with or representing Our Influencers
Comments and online engagement
We want our online spaces to remain welcoming, constructive and safe.
We will do our best to monitor and remove comments that include:
Racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist or otherwise discriminatory language
Hate speech, slurs or dehumanising statements
Bullying, harassment, threats or intimidation
Personal attacks against an Influencer, nominator or member of the public
Deliberate misgendering or disrespectful comments about someone’s identity
The disclosure of private or sensitive personal information
Harmful stereotypes or comments intended to humiliate someone
False, malicious or defamatory allegations
Spam or content unrelated to the purpose of the post
We may delete or hide comments without warning. Where appropriate, we may also block, restrict or report accounts that repeatedly or seriously breach these standards.
Although we will make reasonable efforts to moderate our platforms, we may not see every inappropriate comment immediately. Anyone who notices harmful content is encouraged to report it to us or directly to the relevant social-media platform.
Fair and inclusive storytelling
We are committed to telling people’s stories accurately, sensitively and respectfully. We will seek appropriate consent before publicly featuring an identifiable person and will avoid language or imagery that exploits, stereotypes or humiliates them.
Where appropriate, we will give featured Influencers an opportunity to explain their experiences in their own words.
We will not knowingly publish content that promotes hatred, discrimination or harmful misinformation.
Accessibility
We aim to make our content and nomination process as accessible as reasonably possible. This may include:
Adding captions or subtitles to video content
Using alternative text for important images
Using clear and understandable language
Considering colour contrast and readable text
Providing alternative ways to communicate or participate where possible
Making reasonable adjustments for Influencers, nominees and contributors
We welcome feedback about how we can make Our Influencers more accessible.
Environmental sustainability
We will aim to reduce unnecessary waste and make responsible choices when producing content, purchasing gifts and organising activities.
Where reasonably possible, we will:
Use digital communications and documents instead of unnecessary printing
Reuse equipment, materials and decorations
Avoid excessive or unnecessary packaging
Choose local suppliers and small businesses where appropriate
Consider sustainable, ethical and reusable gifts
Plan filming and travel efficiently
Recycle or responsibly dispose of materials
Encourage partners and suppliers to follow responsible practices
We recognise that sustainability is an ongoing process. We will continue to learn and improve as Our Influencers grows.
Working with partners and sponsors
We aim to work with people, organisations, brands and agencies that respect our values.
We may decline or end a partnership where a partner’s actions are seriously inconsistent with our commitment to inclusion, dignity, fairness or sustainability.
Sponsored or gifted products will be clearly acknowledged in our public posts and communications.
Raising a concern
If you believe that Our Influencers, one of our representatives or someone engaging with our content has acted in a discriminatory, harmful or exclusionary way, please contact us at:
hello@ourtrueinfluencers.com
Please include a description of your concern and, where possible, a link, screenshot or other relevant information. Concerns will be considered fairly and sensitively in accordance with our Complaints and Content Removal Policy.
Our ongoing commitment
Inclusion and sustainability are continuing commitments rather than one-time statements. We will listen to feedback, learn from mistakes and review our practices as Our Influencers develops.
We reserve the right to update this policy to reflect changes to our work, our community and relevant guidance.
